The complex will support operations and administration for the 434th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Grissom ARB.
The Woolpert-RS&H JV has completed the design for the new Logistics Readiness Complex at Grissom Air Reserve Base in Indiana.
The complex will house the 434th Logistics Readiness Squadron, which delivers a range of operational capabilities logistic needs for the U.S. Air Force, including supply, vehicle management, traffic management, and mobilization planning. The new complex will merge and bring these functions, which are currently carried out across six separate facilities, under one roof.
Woolpert-RS&H JV provided full design services, including architecture; interior design; civil, structural, fire protection, mechanical, and electrical engineering; communications distribution; survey; and sustainability services. This work assisted the USACE Louisville District procure and award a construction contract solicitation package for the future complex.
Woolpert-RS&H project manager Rebecca Knolle said that the Louisville District twice previously faced procurement challenges for this project, so the Woolpert-RS&H JV was pleased to support a successful procurement.
The Woolpert-RS&H JV has supported the USACE community on a range of projects since 2016. The joint venture is currently serving contracts for the USACE Norfolk, Louisville, Baltimore, and Japan Districts, as well as the Air Force Civil Engineer Center.
Construction on the complex, awarded to Commercial Contracting Corporation, is expected to begin in 2025.
