Tool recommendation needed

Hi folks, I’m new to the scanning world and am trying to find a tool that might replace some work that I do.

I’m looking for a portable handheld or wand type scanner that is capable of replacing hand tracing. I frequently hand trace artwork, stencils, and murals, etc. on walls and ceilings to help a client recreate the design. Or we use existing designs to help our studio add more details etc.

Either way I need to get accurate scale transfer of information from a site to my design team.

Is there a cost effective tool you folks can push me towards? Not very 3d, but figured this crowd might have good advice.
