You know the challenge:
You spend a weekend with your phone or your camera and you took plenty photos. For each location or event, you took several. I call that a “series”.
Now I want a super-fast and efficient tool for keeping only the best photo out of each “series” of several.
It works like this:
My screen is split in two halves. All photos in a folder come up in pairs, sorted by time-of-photo-was-taken, always two photos in fast-preview next to each other. No need to open the photos.
My hand is on the keyboard and I have only four keys:
FORWARD
BACKWARD
DELETE-LEFT
DELETE-RIGHT
(an UNDO button would be nice, I guess)
So I browse through the folder, and I see two photos next to each other. If I have a scene, like my dog dancing, with maybe 7 shots, I want to keep one or two shots only.
Since I always delete “the worse of two”, after only five key-strokes, I have the best two photos left, out of seven. Then I just browse on and keep deleting the worse of any pair, until I reach the end of the folder.
If this exists, please let me know. If not, please create this tool and you will be rich and famous. Most people take more than one shot, and we all clutter our storage, because we cannot easily weed out the not-best photo of any series.
