I’m in charge of setting up the tech for an awards show, where the material being shared in a mix of video files local to the computer, and google slides presentations.
I have a remote clicker that allows me to advance and go back within a Slides presentation, and any embedded video or audio within the google slides can be activated by the clicker. My challenge is that I’d like to set up a playlist or queue so that a Google Slides presentation can be followed by a local video playing, then back to a google slide presentation with a click.
I’m looking for a software solution that will allow me to seamlessly progress between videos and presentations without my needing to walk over to the connected laptop and switch screens or change programs. I have considered remapping input from the clicker to run a macro that handles screen switching, but would love a way to set this up so that I can go back to restart a video if needed without disrupting the order. I’ve considered saving the slides as pdf or png files, but many include animations that wouldn’t be preserved.
Please me know if there’s a way to do this with OBS, customization tools, or paid software — my goal is to go through slides and videos in a predetermined order using only the remote, with limited interruption (ideally zero) between formats.
