LONGBRIDGE, UK and LISSE, Netherlands, Nov 5, 2024 – Volt Time has launched its new Source 2 EV charger, developed in collaboration with Versinetic, the UK-based experts in EV charging technology. With features like dynamic energy tariff support, solar load balancing, and advanced security functions, the Source 2 is designed to cater to both residential and business customers, positioning itself as a disrupter in the competitive Dutch EV market with its future-proof technology and innovative design.
Key features include the MID Certified Metering, whereby users benefit from precise billing, making the charger ideal for both personal and commercial use. While the Lifetime 4G SIM and Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) Proxy work together to provide seamless connectivity and flexibility, allowing users to effortlessly switch between service providers without the risk of SIM lock or loss of connection.
A user-friendly app offers advanced features such as dynamic load balancing, solar balancing, and peak shaving, allowing users to optimize energy consumption and costs by taking advantage of dynamic energy tariffs. These smart energy management features are essential for customers looking to reduce electricity bills and contribute to a more sustainable future.
For installers, the Source 2 is designed to make life easier. Its pluggable architecture ensures quick, straightforward installations, reducing labour costs and installation time, while its reliability guarantees top performance over the long term.
Versinetic played a critical role in bringing the Source 2 to market, providing a full suite of hardware and software solutions, including their MANTARAY and EEL charge controller hardware, along with BalanSea load balancing software. Their solar load balancing functionality is one of the core innovations that sets the Source 2 apart, ensuring optimal use of solar power for EV charging.
