I need suggestion for smart power plug/monitoring devices.
Usage : monitor power usage of individual plugged devices in my home lab via network.
As of now I have the capability to turn on/off plugs remotely using this device(hacked with a ESP32 board). For my usecase metered PDUs are the way to go. But metered PDUs are too expensive. I have a docker host running few local services.
Requirement :
- device must work without internet
- should be fairly accurate
- should be compatible with home assistant / similar open systems
I am don’t mind getting hands dirty. So if you know about any device which by modding can achieve greater result do suggest.
