Should I go for masters in Europe? | TechEnclave

Hi

I’m thinking about getting a master’s in Europe. I’m looking at a couple of programs in Germany France the Netherlands and Sweden. One year program.

I already have a master’s from the Netherlands in data science and I have 8 years of experience in total.

Does it make sense to get a master’s now? I’m a data engineer by profession and plan to work in Europe for a couple of years. But I eventually plan to come back to India.

The job market isn’t good right now, especially in Europe. Not sure what it’s gonna be like in two years.

I’m thinking of getting a degree in computer science with data science focused electives. If you have a program in mind, please let me know.

Thanks

Hey, good to see that there are other DEs in this forum.

Is your only reason for pursuing a masters is to work abroad? If yes, then have you tried applying to jobs which offer visa sponsorship? You might stand a chance since you have 8 years of experience.

Since you already have masters degree in the same field, it doesn’t make sense to get another one.

Also, any reason to switch from DE to DS (apart from interest)?
