I am interested in 3DScanning two jet powered vehicles that my family owns. I’m not exactly worried about the time it’s going to take. Been reading about how reflective surfaces make it hard for mobile devices to do the scanning but covering it with something matte may help like newspaper. I am prepared to hear the bad news that this may not be possible to DIY. Very interested if the technology has come far enough that I can do this myself. Not in the budget to use commercial/industrial sized scanners. The goal is to print little models for keychains, business card holders, etc. Would anybody be generous enough to get me pointed in the right direction? submitted by /u/2wheels1willy |
