The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 is rumored to be officially released in the weeks after CES, as soon as January 21, 2025, making it a blockbuster in the next-generation graphics card market. The MSI version of the RTX 5080 is rumored to be equipped with the most advanced 16-GB GDDR7 memory technology and 256-bit memory bus design, and the socket has also been changed to a 2.2 design, replacing the previous generation 3.5 design.
According to a report by Video Cardz, MSI’s RTX 5080 specification is confirmed to be equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 memory, which is extraordinary in terms of bandwidth and efficiency, bringing faster processing speed and outstanding performance to gamers and content creators.
The report quoted the front and back of the MSI RTX5080 box leaked from the well-known technology forum “chiphell”. As can be seen on the front of the box, this graphics card uses 3 fans to dissipate heat, and it is reported that it is not the Tri Frozr 3 design of the RTX 40 series, but an upgraded version of the Tri Frozr 4.
The detailed specifications can also be seen on the back of the box, such as the MSI version of the GeForce RTX 5080 with 16GB of GDDR7 RAM and a 256-bit memory bus design (including 3 Display Ports and 1 HDMI port) to provide stable computing power. The RTX 5080 also has dedicated ray-tracing cores, dedicated tensor cores, NVIDIA DLSS, Game Ready, and NVIDIA Studio.
