I had been looking for a Marker Tower to use with my 3D scanner but did not really like the ones I found online to download. I started creating my own but failed (mostly because my bedslinger was not very suitable to print very tall towers with good quality), and then started again on a new concept/project instead that I had not seen anyone do before (hoping it is because no one had thought about it, and not because it’s a bad idea). I have been working on this for a few weeks now, and it has served me very well and perhaps it can be helpful for more users of 3D scanners? The idea is to let the user build their own marker towers to suit their specific needs for the part they want to 3D scan, by combining a set of base, marker modules, spacers and cap. I’m creating this in the late evening/nights when my daughters have fallen asleep, so it’s a bit slow in creating, uploading, taking pictures, editing and making sure they print well before publishing them, so not all parts seen in the picture is available yet, but Im hoping by the end of this week it will all be possible to download. Right now there is a base, a few modules and a cap available to download and print if you’re curious about my late night little project. I hope to create even more parts for this in the future as I can imagine more useful possibilities already, and if anyone have a suggestion on more modules please do share it and I will see if it can be created 🙂 The link to the collection of parts (that will grow) can be found here: https://makerworld.com/en/collections/3454869 submitted by /u/Pawpawpaw85 |
