I want my photo collection to be ‘future-proof’, so all my photos are/will be in plain directory structure. No databases, tags etc. And I would like it to be very fast, like gthumb or better. All I need is solved by irfanview on windows or gthumb on linux, BUT I don’t want to run irfanview through wine, and gthumb has one problem: it cannot play videos with correct orientation, and videos are opened in some window which are cumbersome to quit. Disabling video plugin does not work. I’d like it to either open some generally working video player or external default player say on double-click.
Is there any linux image browser like that?
