I know bro.. i just upgraded my normal ryzen 3 2200g setup which i bought while in college maybe in 2018.. to r5 5600 and 3060 12gb, msi b550m-a pro, 2x16gb 3200mhz, 1tb wd sn770.. acer 1440p ips monitor at 180hz.. i am pretty happy with the performance it puts out for the price, and the power efficiency especially after undervolt. I could have extend more and get better hardware but i saw no point. I have already experienced high graphics and ray tracing and all that from friend’s pc, those are nice to have and most game high setting and ultra have no difference at all, he have a 3080.. I mainly play valorant cs2 and for that its great, also 12gb lets me run some stable diffusion models…
Now that i already made the setup its not even one week i have ordered a mini pc and new psu and case for my old pc.. idk why hahaha… Maybe a total waste but also i am thinking to buy onn 4k pro from wallmart through anmol’s usa shipping, although i have firestick 4k which works fine ..
It seems like i just like the process of finding, comparing specs, efficiency and all the other stuff…
Its always like that, I am not saying anything is right or wrong. I too wanted to build a PC but as I commute more I stuck with a laptop, then installed games optimized it played few days and now I am starting to delete them as they are taking storage. I understood then that anything be it PC, or whatever no one can be happy with a thing everyday its more of like dopamine rush and there’s nothing wrong with that maybe after some days you might be tempted to play games again too. There are things people say about how you should control dopamine etc [they might be right but I could never try it] but I just started accepting that, I bought a mobile it had the best antutu score of its range I installed Nintendo games to play with emulators then again after some days I left it. Its just like this with everyone its not new and you might have already understood that maybe explore something new instead like blender/video editing/graphic design or something else you thought about doing and you forgot or didn’t get time to do.
I already have a amazing little gaming laptop with radeon 6600m, which lets play all games i want at this moment. Still i build the pc. Main reason maybe better cooling and also better performance. But it doesn’t really matter at the end of the day… Maybe another piece/set of nice tech.
It is not aging alone, it is age bringing maturity and seeking higher level of achievements and satisfaction.
If you are not married, enjoy the time you have. Once you are busy with life, you will fondly remember the times you could peacefully enjoy pc games or even simply enjoy wasting some time.
I lost my interest and agility to tinker with h/w and s/w as of late, I could build small s/w, websites, tinker with h/w, etc.
Now if a pc is being faulty at home, I ask them to take it to a repair shop, which irks them a lot. Now I taunt them why they didn’t learn it from me earlier, when I asked them to, haha. I really miss having that mental interest now. Currently, having a curious interest in agriculture which I cannot afford at all.
Hahah well that is a huge shift i must say. Im not married but i think i will get married next year… Agriculture is great hobby bro, becoming self sufficient for the daily needs is amazing!
I have great interest in pc and computer. But it as the time passes i dont really have that energy as before. My dad bought my first pc when i was in school, maybe in 2008.. it was windows xp intel core machine with 4gb ram, it ran good until the PSU exploded hahah which is after 4-5years
Great man… I am already started to think what life will be after marriage. Hopefully i will still be gaming like you!
I have quitted social media at 2017… Not even twitter. I just chat in groups and internet forums.. facebook was good until 2016 it became bad idk why, there was nice groups such as XDA off topic and elite indian or something like that.. daily journeling meaning you read newspaper or watch news?
