Why is Humane Shutting Down AI Pin?
Humane’s initial AI Pin attracted attention with its innovative design that didn’t require a screen display and was declared the smart device of the future. It is characterized by the ability to project images onto the palm and replace traditional smartphones. However, after the Air Pin was released in April 2024, consumers quickly criticized it for its short battery life and overheating. As discontent grew, Humane began looking to buy or sell the business just one month after its launch.

What Should AI Pin Owners Do?
For users who still have an Ai Pin, Humane reminds them to connect their devices to Wi-Fi by February 28 to sync and download photos, videos, and notes saved on their devices. After March, Ai Pin cannot continue providing services through Humane, and replacements or support services will no longer be available. Humane also advises users to participate in its “e-waste recycling program” to dispose of their equipment correctly.
