How do you handle reverse engineering after 3D scanning?

Hey everyone, just curious—if you’re working with 3D scanning for reverse engineering, do you usually:
1️⃣ Handle the CAD modeling yourself?
2️⃣ Outsource it to freelancers or agencies?

I’ve seen many companies struggle with converting point clouds/STL scans into accurate parametric CAD models—especially when dealing with complex geometry or missing data.

Would love to hear your approach! Also, if you ever need clean, editable CAD models from scans, I run an agency that specializes in reverse engineering from 3D scans using SolidWorks & Geomagic—happy to help or share insights!

Looking forward to your thoughts!
