Hexagon Metrology to Merge with MSC.Software

Name change to Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Czech Republic s.r.o

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Dec 9, 2024 – Hexagon Metrology s.r.o. has announced that it is making some significant changes to its operations on the Czech market. Effective 1 January 2025, the company is to merge with MSC.Software s.r.o., a major supplier of CAE simulation software, in a move that will see the resulting outfit renamed Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Czech Republic s.r.o. as of the same date. These changes are part of Hexagon’s strategy to consolidate its Manufacturing Intelligence operations across Europe and to expand its focus on delivering full solutions for digitalization, optimization, and smart manufacturing.

MSC.Software s.r.o. will cease to exist as of January 1, 2025, with all its rights and obligations transferring to the acquiring company, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Czech Republic s.r.o., whose registered office and registration number remain unchanged.

Following Hexagon AB’s acquisition of MSC Software in 2017, the merger of these two companies is a natural progression that is now being extended locally to their Czech branches. It also brings together, under a single company, a broader portfolio of products and services that are essential for improving quality and productivity in the manufacturing process.

“The new name and merger with MSC.Software s.r.o. marks a significant milestone in our journey, underscoring our long-term vision to deliver to customers a complete, integrated suite of tools for every stage of the manufacturing cycle. From product design and process simulation to quality inspection, we’re a single-source partner,” says Jaroslav Veselý, CEO of Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Czech Republic s.r.o.

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Czech Republic s.r.o. remains true to its established standards of quality, expertise, and customer care. It continues its commitment to providing cutting-edge technologies and services that drive customer success in all aspects of modern manufacturing.

“Taking care of customers and striving to meeting their needs on the pathway to digitalization, improving quality, and boosting manufacturing agility remain at the heart of what we do. We’re also committed to constantly improving our processes and finding innovative solutions to keep pace with evolving market demands,” adds Veselý.
