My friend had tried to install BSNL FTTH. But they haven’t done so for the past 4 days stating problems with power, rain etc. Charging Rs 4,000 without monthly plan. I was also planning to do the same but considering their slow work I’m thinking of going railnet.
But railnet asking Rs 6000 for installing with 3 months 50mbps plan included.
In both cases I’ll use my own router tp link ax23. But both only has onu+wifi syrotech one. Bsnl doesnt give onu/ont only. Similar case for railnet.
Should I go for railnet? How is their experience?
Both bsnl and railnet are using single fibre cable for whole town distribution unlike jio fiber using 48 12 fibre system. Jio fiber will take 2 years to reach my place.
I didn’t have a good experience with Railnet, not really sure about BSNL FTTH tho. Did you try contacting Jio Fiber? Or Airtel for that matter because they usually put that location in a priority list if they get enough calls from there, or at least this is what the service guy told me who came to install it at my place.
I know the guy from jiofiber. He said next phase will take time. And airtel is not rolling out anytime soon.
My friend recently got bsnl ftth. I guess I’ll wait and see how their service and decide in Dec. Yet to find a person using railwire/railnet in my area to get feedback.
I’m using my jio mobile hotspot to load a website I use daily for online class. It doesn’t load in jio airfibre. Weird!
