I believe a custom gage/template would be the quickest way for high volume. The part is made of relatively hard rubber. I am thinking to create a Go/no-go gauge to check the bottom profile tolerance. It would be an internal cavity that fit the bottom halve (go gage) and another one for the no go gage. The gage will have open top, so that it does not touch the upper halve of the ring. Would there be any issues with this approach?
