LEEDS, UK, Nov 25, 2024 – Farnell has been named as the winner of Waldom ESG Awards 2023 – Regional Distributor EMEA. As the only ESG award in the IP&E (interconnect, passive, and electromechanical) distribution industry, this recognition recognizes Farnell’s commitment to reducing e-waste by purchasing components that are in perfect condition but would have otherwise ended up in landfill after becoming excess stock for another distributor.
e-waste, or electronic waste, is one of the fastest-growing environmental issues globally, exposing harmful materials that can contaminate soil and water. By choosing Waldom Green Stock, Farnell directly saved 4,439,242 components from entering landfill, instead giving components a second life.
