electronics – Open-source (or free) simulator for switching circuits (like SIMPLIS, PSIM, PLECS)

I am looking for an open-source (or free) simulator for switching circuits (power electronics circuits like inverters, PFC converters, DC/DC converters).

Commercial software include SIMPLIS, PSIM, PLECS. There are some “trial” versions of these programs, but they are limited in functionality. I’m looking for an open-source or at least fully functional free (like LTSpice) option.

It is similar but not the same as a SPICE (transient, time domain) simulation. What I am looking for is a software that will simulate with idealized (piecewise linear equivalent) transistors, therefore running much faster and avoiding convergence issues.
