I stumbled on these from an old project. The teflon spheres from McMaster scanned well under laser line and structured light and have a tight enough manufacturing tolerance and are easily machinable. The nylon spheres allow light to scatter into its surface and didn’t scan well. No use for them now and they are headed to the recycle bin but thought I would share. submitted by /u/scottorobotoe |
