Our dial indicator is 0.050” per revolution, with a smaller dial tracking # of revolutions. The problem is it’s been configured so that when the needle is fully extended, the small dial reads out at maximum.
Because the range of the needle is smaller than the range of the dial, when you go to zero the tool on the table, that smaller dial doesn’t get back to zero. Is there a way to manually change this in analogue dial indicators, do do we just have to buy a new one?
