I am looking for photo management software that supports album style(like row x column grid view) with each photos being given same sized space and copiable text description below each.

I am not talking about image viewers that show the list of image files in preview style. Window explorer will suffice if that was the case. I want to make all my photos in thumbnail size(100×130 for example, manually or with help of software) and remove the original photo files. So one single file will contain all image thumbnails and text descriptions and viewed by management software.
If you ask me, I already have all my images backup but with this method, I want to briefly check the images in one place, so this single file will function as database of my collection.
Plus, I might have to frequently add photos to the album so please keep this in mind.
Any recommendations?
If there’s no software that meets all feature requirements mentioned above, it’s okay, but at least having core concept supported would be great too.
