CES2025: AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT Releases FSR 4 Ultra-Resolution Picture Generation Technology

CES2025 AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT

At the 2025 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), AMD officially announced the launch of its new RDNA 4 architecture graphics card series, including the Radeon RX 9070 XT and Radeon RX 9070. which focuses on the mid-range graphics card market. This news is unsurprising, as much of it has been leaking out earlier.

There aren’t many details about the two graphics cards now, but AMD says the new naming convention allows Radeon graphics cards to be more visually than rival Nvidia’s offerings. According to the new naming scheme, the Radeon RX XX70 graphics card will correspond to Nvidia’s XX70 graphics card. Specifically, the Radeon RX 9070 XT will compete with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, while the Radeon RX 9070 will be symmetrical with the RTX 5070. AMD also revealed that the Radeon RX 9060 series will be launched later, and this series of graphics cards will target the Nvidia RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060.

The introduction of this new series of products complicates the comparison with its predecessors. AMD noted that the RX 9070 series will replace the RX 7900 XT to RX 7800 XT product lines, while the RX 9060 series will roughly replace the RX 7700 XT and RX 7600 XT (while the RX 7600 will likely be replaced by a product lower than both).

AMD has not revealed whether it will launch the RX 9080 or RX 9090 series. Still, given that AMD has handed over the high-end market to NVIDIA in this generation, it can be speculated that the RX 9070 and RX 9060 series will be the leading force in AMD’s graphics card series, and this series will be the only new product at present.

AMD did not officially announce the price or specific release date, only stating that the new graphics cards are expected to be launched in the first quarter of 2025.
