Unveiled exclusively with Lockheed Martin, Brelyon brings new capabilities with a unique dual-layer, multi-depth display.
ORLANDO, FL, Dec 3, 2024 – Brelyon is unveiling its newest breakthrough in ultra-realistic, panoramic virtual displays with Lockheed Martin at I/ITSEC, the largest training and simulation tradeshow in the United States.
Powered by Ultra Reality Extend, a newly developed multi-focal display technology that Brelyon will be soon releasing to the wider market, the multi-focal display introduces a redefined immersive experience that closely mirrors real-world depth and spatial awareness, enabling pilots to train with an unprecedented level of realism.
“As the demands for immersive, ergonomic simulation grow, Brelyon Ultra Realty Extend offers a game-changing solution,” said Alok Mehta, co-founder and COO at Brelyon. “With Lockheed Martin’s support, we are advancing this technology as a solution to meet the needs of next-generation pilot training.”
Unveiled exclusively with Lockheed Martin for simulation applications, Brelyon is bringing new capabilities with a unique dual-layer multi-depth display that enables the simultaneous visualization of cockpit instrumentation, including heads-up-display projections and the surrounding operational environment—all without the need for VR headsets.
- Addresses the key challenges in military simulation and training: With its expansive, headset-free 110° field of view, the display accurately represents terrain and environmental details, enhancing situational awareness essential for complex operations.
- Expands the pilot training experience by increasing immersion over conventional desktop solutions, supporting diverse and flexible training setups across different environments, reducing the time to proficiency for pilots—all while preserving user comfort during extended training sessions.
“As a former pilot, I understand the demands placed on today’s simulation technologies to prepare aviators effectively and efficiently,” said Vincent Davis, head of defense solutions at Brelyon. “Brelyon’s Ultra Reality Extend is truly transformative for pilot training. By eliminating the discomfort and logistical barriers of headsets, we’re able to increase training throughput and provide a frictionless, immersive experience that mimics real-world scenarios more closely than ever before. This technology isn’t just about convenience; it’s about enhancing training efficacy and making advanced simulation accessible at scale.”
“We’re excited to see Brelyon, a Lockheed Martin Ventures portfolio company, push the boundaries of immersive display technology with their Ultra Reality Extend platform,” said Chris Moran, vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Ventures. “This cutting-edge technology has the potential to advance the way we approach simulation and training, and we’re proud to be collaborating with Brelyon to unveil this capability.”
The latest offering expands on the ongoing collaboration by Brelyon and Lockheed Martin in unveiling the latest innovations for immersive training.
