Axiom Space has selected software from the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio to improve efficiency in developing commercial space infrastructure. Siemens’ software will support the development of Axiom’s commercial space station and spacesuit programs.
Using the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio helps Axiom Space optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve manufacturing, testing, tracking and fielding processes, advancing development of Axiom Station and the Axiom Extravehicular Mobility Unit (AxEMU). This software enables Axiom Space to manage digital threads and digital twins within a unified platform, integrating all phases of its programs.
Through increased use of Siemens’ software, Axiom Space will be able to move from concept to reality — eliminating the need for traditional paper-based designs, digitally tracking every component, and integrating an end-to-end product lifecycle management system.
Beyond its technological advantages, this collaboration supports Axiom Space’s efforts to work with non-traditional space companies, businesses, and nations in low-Earth orbit initiatives.
