Hey everyone, I have been in the metrology industry working with 3D scanners for a number of years now, and have designed a few things to help make my work easier, and this is one of them. After seeing this post https://www.reddit.com/r/3DScanning/comments/1hqwzod/has_anyone_found_something_similar_to_this_or_a/ by u/KryptoniteBullet I was inspired to change up my original design and post it for anyone who wants it. I am a little late to the party, but with life being so busy, I have just been dragging my feet finishing this guy up. https://makerworld.com/en/models/1007954#profileId-986830 There is a bill of materials, so if anyone plans on printing this, make sure to read it over and order what you need before printing. Also, the print profile is for PETG-HF, and I have found that on my printer, it prints a little different dimensionally than PETG or PLA, so print off small sample pieces first to verify fit and function. This is the original design for resin printing: And here is the updated design for FDM: which is around 200mm in diameter, with internal threaded inserts and bushings to prevent wear and allow you to connect the posts together if you need a taller frame. The reference point stickers seen on the frame are 6mm stickers and are the largest that will fit on this frame. Edit: I will post the solidworks models for anyone who is interested. And, if , can add one with larger side lengths to accommodate larger stickers. submitted by /u/plopperzzz |
