AMD is gearing up to launch its Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT GPUs in early March, targeting high-quality 4K gaming at mainstream prices. CEO Lisa Su highlighted the new RDNA 4 architecture, which aims to enhance ray tracing performance and includes AI-driven upscaling via FSR 4, promising improved image quality over FSR 3.1. Despite limited hardware details, the 9070 XT is expected to feature 4,096 cores and 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, potentially outperforming Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 5070 with its 12 GB of memory. The RX 9000 series seeks to redefine mid-range GPUs’ role in 4K gaming.
