I am studying dinosaur tracks and would like to be able to scan the tracksite to get 3D models of the tracks. I am wondering if anyone can advise a good scanner for me to use. I’m looking for one that is ideally under $1000 and would be able to scan an area of the tracksite surface at least 2x2m or 3x3m with less than 0.5cm error (the smaller the better).
A follow-up question is, with any scanner recommended, could you stitch together 2×2 or 3×3 scans to create a 3D model of a much larger area of the tracksite surface?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
