CPU/Mobo – Lian-Li Lancool 207 Compact ATX Case – Opinions | TechEnclave

I’m currently have a M-ATX setup with a ROG Z370-G mobo, Intel 8700K in a Fractal Design Define C Mini case. Now planning to upgrade the PC and the matx motherboard options are practically non existent o_O the only mobo I like is X670E Gene and it is OOS. By the looks of it it is highly unlikely that Asus is going to make a X870 Gene. The ITX options have their own quirks and I also don’t want to go the SFF route. Only remaining options are some cheap B760 and B650 boards with low end VRMs.

I also have a height and depth constraint of <475mm as I prefer to keep my PC Case in a wooden shelf that has a vertical space of 500mm, same depth. So the Lian-Li Lancool 207 looks like a perfect case for my requirements. ATX mobo options are plenty and also satisfies my compactness requirement. The cooling performance is also top of the charts along with the ability to fit a Arctic LF III 360 in the top.

My preference for the 2024 Corsair RM1000x PSU is also compatible with the case (reading from others experience on reddit). Also I can spare even a few days of labour in dealing with cable management, so that is not an issue for me.

So please tell me your opinions on this and if I’m good to go.

Edit:
Looks like these are all similar height cases… Interesting
