Bicycling scanning – photogrammetry or laser?

Hello everyone.

I’m looking to figure out what’s a good technology to use for scanning many types of bicycles (not motorcycle). I need the resolution of the final model to be very accurate – minor details in the frame must be recognized. This includes any bolts, design lines or even cables (like on older steel bikes) I plan to then use this model in CAD for some work. Would it be accurate to say 1-3mm accuracy?

Would photogrammetry work to the resolution I need or is a scanner a better option? Any recommendations on a scanner if the latter?
