Move advances smart manufacturing with new partners, CIMCO probing, and post processor integration.
Sandvik has announced the acquisition of Barefoot CNC, CAD/CAM Solutions, and CamTech Engineering Services. Additionally, Sandvik has acquired CIMCO probing technology and postprocessor business, a software add-on for CAD/CAM programs that enables CNC touch probes to measure and locate workpieces before machining, improving part quality and reducing setup time.
Barefoot CNC has served North Carolina and South Carolina for over 30 years, CAD/CAM Solutions has been a partner in Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, and CamTech Engineering Services has delivered solutions in Florida. Integrating these partners improves Mastercam’s regional support and CAD/CAM offerings.
Mastercam’s strategy includes organic growth and targeted acquisitions to expand capabilities. As part of Sandvik, it supports manufacturers with advanced solutions and connected processes.
Sandvik’s acquisition of CIMCO’s probing technology and postprocessor business will integrate with Mastercam’s manufacturing tools. The software add-on, already used by machinists, will be rebranded as Mastercam Probing.
