Hi all, I’m using the hexagon-supplied Lenovo p520 PC on my cmm. This PC is really not impressive. The hardware is woefully cheap and this seems to cause issues in pc dmis. Offline animations and collision detection, for example, are always insanely choppy and go slower than speed specified in settings. I have even had to create a basic script to refresh results before printing because of what I’d describe as FIFO software issues due to slow computation (alignments not applied before report calculations, etc)
Hardware specs:
-
cpu: intel Xeon w-2123 @ 3.6ghz
-
gpu: nvidia quadro p620
-
ram: 16gb ddr4
-
hard drive: 1tb m2-pciex4
-
OS: windows 10
Has anyone upgraded components or knows if there is a bottleneck that can be improved? I’m thinking the GPU at the very least could be massively improved, but not sure how much that will help pc dmis. Thanks!
