Siemens Digital Industries Software today announced that it has signed an exclusive OEM agreement for its EDA (Design for Automation) business to bring to market the IP products of Alphawave Semi, a supplier of high-speed interconnect and computing chips. The agreement includes the company’s top IP platforms for interconnect and memory protocols, such as Ethernet, PCIe, CXL, HBM, and UCIe (Die-to-Die) interconnects.
In addition to the IP sales channel agreement, the two companies will work with customers to leverage their respective capabilities and strengths to provide a full range of solutions from spec to wafer.
The agreement will accelerate customer access to Alphawave Semi’s AI-driven advanced silicon IP platform through Siemens’ large EDA global sales team. These solutions include complete silicon IP modules that customers can license and integrate into advanced chip-scale system (SoC) designs, including 3D-IC and chiplet technologies. These solutions are particularly important in key growth markets such as AI, autonomous driving, data networking, hyperscaling, and storage, where 3D-IC design, chiplets, and advanced process nodes are key to growth.

The partnership aims to serve high-growth markets such as AI, high-performance computing, and networking, and provide flexible business models for different customers.
