Creality otter as first time purchase for 3d printing and 3d art like motion graphics?

I’m wanting to buy my friend a 3D scanner as a gift as they’ve a bunch of work for me but won’t accept payment 🙂 I know my friend is really interested in 3d scanning and I’m not totally sure what they would use it for but they work as a motion graphics artist and enjoy 3d art hobbies like 3d printing and building fun 3d environment scenes. I could see them using this to scan props/ household objects to put in a music video or something animated.

I had originally wanted to spend less than $500 as I don’t have a ton of spare money but from my initial research, it seems that this one may be the best for its price on the lower end? Open to other suggestions, as I want to do my best to be frugal but not give my friend something that won’t work.
