Leica BLK3D, your opinion

Hi, I recently borrowed a Leica BLK3D – I used it for a week mainly for its in-photo measurement function. I used it for measurements under a bridge (so not in perfect lighting conditions) and given it’s price, I was a bit dissapointed. The accuracy level was sometimes off by almost as much as 1 m, especially with the ”depth” measurements. To reiterate, I was measuring bridge elements in low light environment, and some of these elements are over 20 m long …

But I was most disappointed in how slow the device worked – the UI is slow, the sharing function, which is great, was also painfully slow.

I would like to hear your opinion, since the device I used maybe wasn’t up-to-date and my use of it maybe also wasn’t by the book. Like I said, it’s not cheap, but out company is really looking into buying it. Thank you!
