So today I had my first look into the 3DeVok MT. Here are some of the main points.
- Scanning modes the Cross Blue Laser, Cross Infrared Laser and Speckle infrared structured light.
- Blue laser accuracy is rated at 40 microns using marker tracking.
- In hybrid alignment, you can use the blue laser AND the colour camera to capture the textures. This was interesting. Also, you can place some markers to help cover featureless areas.
- The scanning speed is fast at 3.3M points per second in marker alignment mode. This is faster than my Kscan Magic.
- The software is a forked-out version of Scanviewer, which is a good thing. It is already better than the newcomers in the market.
- While you are scanning in structured light mode, you can switch to the other modes to refine certain areas. Pretty cool.
Cool scanner but it will require a beefy computer setup.
