Samsung’s Exynos 2600 chip is showing better development progress compared to the Exynos 2500, with initial manufacturing yields reaching 30%. Utilizing a 2nm production process, the chip is expected to enhance performance by 12% and improve power efficiency by 25%. Scheduled for mass production in the latter half of the year, the Exynos 2600 is set to be featured in the Galaxy S26, as the Galaxy S25 was initially planned to use the Exynos 2500 but faced production delays. Competing against Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite, Samsung aims to lower costs through in-house production.

Given how better Tensor G4 is, this could very well be a great SoC. I think Samsung finally has a solid SoC (as long as they do not use their own fabs) :D

 

The Exynos 2600 may go toe to toe with the 8 Elite and dimensity 9400 but if they go with the previous dog shit modem then it won’t even be in consideration for most ppl here who are constantly on 5g. Idle and active battery drain with 5g on would be the thing to look out for when these launch.

 

Tensor G5 has solid modem (Pixel 9 series), expecting similar or better modem in 2600.
