i am having issues with my zeiss countura every once in a while, mostly offshift. The program will start and then the probe head will wander off to the lower back left corner. This particular one, looks like it did it either at the end of the looping of the alignment, or right after. the motors shut off and give a few lines that repeat :

any suggestions? its getting annoying as the night guys reboot the machine and i have to set it all up again.

update, the wandering off part is caused by it not plunging into a hole enough now that i have reproduced it. so i am less worried about that, but now the inconsistent depth into the hole is worrysome. this program has been running for years. so it shouldnt be the program . loading unloading didnt help running the alightment with the CNC or original didnt help. curiously running just the one hole with F9 works consistently, it dives in deeper by like 5mm.
