I’m a newbie to 3D scanning, and now I’m looking to buy an affordable handheld 3D scanner with a budget of no more than $1,500. My issue is that I’ve seen many people recommending the MetroX. I admit its price is very tempting, but I seriously doubt whether Revopoint can deliver on this.
Moreover, I noticed that the Raptor is still selling very well, which is a bit unbelievable. Why does the RaptorX (though I don’t have enough money to buy a RaptorX anyway) seem less competitive in the market compared to the Raptor? The only thing I’m dissatisfied with about the Raptor is its NIR, which seems to be absolute shit and I couldn’t find any positive reviews about the Raptor’s NIR on Reddit. On the contrary, the Otter’s NIR has received great feedback. So, is there a product under $1,500 that combines the Raptor’s blue laser with the Otter’s NIR? I hope someone can tell me if such a product exists.
