So, I recently saw an advertisement for a 3D scanner called the Moose Lite, and definitely a lot cheaper then one’s I’ve seen in the past, but I prefer that as I do 3D printing as a hobby and would rather not spend 1000+ on a scanner I’ll be using for fun. So, can someone tell me or give me an idea of the quality of this thing? Along with that, one of the reasons I have yet to get a scanner is because they often need your computer to have an i5 Core processor(?) at least, and my laptop I do all my 3d modeling on is only an i3, and I didn’t want to buy a whole new computer JUST for a scanner. But I noticed this one has compatibility with phones, specifically IOS 10 and above, and I have an iPhone 12 mini, so that should work hopefully. BUT I WANT TO ASK THOSE WHO KNOW SCANNERS, is it possible to move that scanned model from my phone, to that i3 computer, so I can still slice the model for printing? Or would the model itself just completely break my computer? I never knew if it was the process of scanning that would be too much or the model. submitted by /u/ChampionshipOk1881 |
