I am moving from a Win 10 PC with office 2019 to a windows 11 with Office 2024.
New Outlook is driving me insane.
After a couple of hours I managed to transfer my outlook contents, and after just another hour managed to get the address book to see my new contacts, and to get them showing as the main (only ) list.
So I am now left with:

I want my email to be collected when I say so and NOT automatically as soon as it reaches the server.

When I send an email to someone, I want it to be sent straight away , appear in my sent folder (which it does) but do not want another copy in my inbox..
Does anyone know if the new outlook can be made to behave properly, or if not an email client that does.
Why am I asking?
I have email set up on my phone and my laptop. Since I tend to have my phone during the days I can open and delete emails as I read them.
Under 2019 any deleted messages on the phone would not appear in my outlook send/receive/ — Perfect
But now when I get to the laptop, all the ones I deleted have already been downloaded again.
I am a big fan of Bluemail apart from

It cannot be set to download on demand. (Like New OUtlook)
It will not use a proper English English dictionary and insists in putting a “z” into words that should have an “s”.
So please everyone, can you help me to get the appalling New (much worse) Outlook working properly, or recommend something else that is not so arrogant as ‘New’ (much worse ) Outlook? .
I’ve done several on line searches, and have noticed lots of “I have this problem as well”, but precious little evidence the Microsoft has any idea at all.
And I have tried to install a version of classic Outlook , but Microsoft says “NO”
