I’m new to this but really want to get my head round it because of an idea I’ve had. On the back of my motorbike, a 22 plate R1, the fairing curves round and I wish to make a plastic bracket to suit the curves of this fairing. There is absolutely nothing out there and I mean nothing. I’ve spent hours and days looking for stuff and I can’t find anything so I thought that maybe I could make it haha. I was thinking I’d need to scan the back of the bike in order to get this started but I’m thinking about taking a part and remove the section needed and then scanning it? Also, will a phone app work or will it require a a proper scanner? I don’t think I’ll get away with stitching loads of images. I’ve included an image of the rear of the bike so you have an idea of what I’m rambling on about. The item I’m trying to make would sit on the inside of the curvature. Any help would be greatly appreciated. submitted by /u/jesushadfatlegs |
