Since yesterday I was not able to change volume of my chromecast audio via Google home app as the icon for chromecast was persistently grayed out…
Though the chromecast was working well…
Today I tried again and ultimately reset the chromecast (that was idiotic) and now I am nowhere lol as home app keeps saying we couldn’t authenticate your chromecast

Seems it’s a worldwide issue as is obvious from the reddit thread..
Somehow I have a feeling that this might not get fixed as Google stops support after 10 years in general..

So after going through numerous replies
I was able to get the chromecast going by setting date of my phone to 8th and time as 12:30am.. The setup went through..
Though still not able to control the volume as the option remains greyed in home app.. That doesn’t bother me.. But the real bothering fact is the the high frequency settings are by default off in Cca and after reset they can’t be turned on till Google fixes the issue…
